George is a recognized leader among finance and business professionals in Silicon Valley, in California and across the United States. He has over 30 years of experience leading public, private and not-for-profit organizations where he has held positions as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer. Some of companies he has led include Pluribus Networks, Marvell Technology, Chordiant Software and Remedy Corporation. He also has extensive Board experience including as Chair of the Audit Committee at Bridgelux, Inc., Vendavo, Inc., Saba Software, Inc. and Montalvo Arts Center. George is currently a full-time advisor to the CEO of a public company focusing on strategic initiatives; he started his career as a CPA. George previously served as a member of President George Bush’s National Information Technology Advisory Committee and met with the President on matters of technology policy and taxation.
Key highlights of George’s background include being CFO for Remedy Corporation when it was named as “#1 Hot Growth Company” in America by Business Week magazine, being invited to present at Forbes magazine’s annual CFO conference, authoring and publishing articles, being interviewed by The Wall Street Journal as a feature article for their “CFO Journal” edition and being a guest lecturer at the Graduate Schools of Business at both the University of California (Berkeley) and Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.
George holds a Master in Business Administration degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting/Business from the University of Southern California.
