Time to Think About 2027 Executive Compensation Programs

Compensation professionals may want to use an otherwise quiet summer season to get ahead of the 2027 executive compensation planning cycle. Potential “to-dos” include determining the effect of 2026 geoeconomic and market developments on in-progress award programs, early review of Q3 – Q4 checklist items to avoid a year-end time crunch, and informal engagement with compensation committees, compensation consultants and shareholders to lay groundwork for more formal engagement in the fall.
